About Superintendent Marci Trahan

  • Marci Trahan began her tenure in the Ross Valley School District in August of 1992 and has served as teacher and assistant principal at White Hill, Director of Human Resources, principal at Brookside (then it was a K-2 campus called Brookside Lower), curriculum and instruction director, and assistant superintendent.  Marci began as Superintendent of the Ross Valley School District (RVSD) on July 1, 2020.  With over three decades of experience in teaching, learning and educational leadership, Marci has helped improve students’ outcomes, cultivating a joy of learning and lifelong success. 

    Prior to joining RVSD, Marci proudly served as a middle school English teacher in two other California school districts (one in CA's central valley and the other in northern CA).  She holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Sonoma State University as well as a bachelor’s degree in English from the California State University, Sacramento. 

    Marci Trahan believes that through a unified and sustained commitment to collaboration, learning, inspiring, mentoring and believing (CLIMB), all RVSD students can and will have the opportunity to reach their unique potential throughout their school careers and beyond.
